About the StratoDem Analytics founding team
Michael Clawar co-founded StratoDem Analytics after four years as an analyst with Reach Advisors, a strategy, research, and predictive analytics firm, where Michael pioneered some of the firm’s work in economic demography. At Reach Advisors, real estate clients deployed his analysis to help create 10%-15% premiums over competitors. Private equity clients deployed his analysis to avoid major losses relying on existing local-market demographic and economic data from governmental and third-party data providers, and instead recraft their investment theses based on his analysis. Michael graduated from Boston University with a bachelor’s degree in mathematics and economics and a master’s degree in statistics.
Raymond Mead co-founded StratoDem Analytics after realizing that his background in advanced optimization algorithms would give StratoDem the ability to improve the state of data deployed in American business. Raymond designs the systems that allow StratoDem to keep its massive data current and to deploy its analytics on a national scale. Raymond graduated with degrees in mathematics and computer science from Boston University, where he focused on network theory and won an award from the Hariri Institute for Computing and Computational Science for his work on fast approximation algorithms… both topics in heavy use at StratoDem Analytics.
James Chung is a co-founder of StratoDem Analytics. He also serves as President of Reach Advisors, where he leads the firm’s groundbreaking strategy, research and predictive analytics work helping clients focus their nine-figure and ten-figure capital expenditures on how their consumers would evolve differently than what their competitors could see. Prior to founding Reach Advisors 15 years ago, James founded and then sold an online media and research firm to Quintiles (NYSE: Q). Before then, James served one of the nation’s leading marketers while at the Leo Burnett ad agency, where his two primary responsibilities involved pioneering online media and data warehouse analytics in the mid-1990s, years before those fields became the norm. James graduated with an AB and MBA degree from Harvard University, where he currently serves on the board of directors for the Harvard Alumni Association.
